SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT
Closed Loop partnered with Soundsplash to provide the cleaning & waste management for the 3 day event that managed to go ahead in an ever changing Covid environment. Throughout the event, the team hand-sorted 209.30m3 of waste with a diversion rate of 52%.
Largely in part to the fears of an Omicron outbreak, a lot of festival goers decided to leave behind approximate 68m3 of camping equipment; the team did a great job and managed to recover and donate 18.75m3 of tents distributed to local marae, volunteers/community groups and staff from the event.
